We believe the mobile phone has the greatest potential to improve communication in health care. This technology is widely used and understood, is regularly upgraded, is relatively cheap and reliable.
In most service-based industries, workers carry a mobile phone. Employers often encourage communication through free employee-to-employee calls. Increasingly, mobile phones also support the sending and receiving of email messages and access to critical information through websites and applications. Why should health care be any different?
We want to establish a single, nationwide network for voice and data communication, so that health care professionals can benefit regardless of their job title and location.
